Send us the shape of this statement, not its contents. The report below is made in this browser. It keeps where text sits, dates and column headings. Every name, amount, reference and account number is replaced with x and 1, as you can see. Nothing is sent until you send it.
Then email the report to support@statementtocsv.co.uk and say which bank it is from. We’ll add the layout and let you know.

Halifax statements in Excel are easy to sort and total. If your statement prints type codes, they also make it quick to separate card spending, direct debits and transfers.
Halifax’s own download, or the PDF statement?
Halifax online banking can also export recent transactions. That’s fine for recent activity. For past statements, or figures that must match the official statements exactly, convert the PDF statements.

Working with Halifax transactions in Excel
- Card spending only. If your statement uses type codes, filter the description for DEB to list debit card payments for the month.
- Find standing orders. Filter for SO, or for “standing order” if your statement spells it out, to see standing orders such as rent or savings transfers.
- Income check. Filter Money In for your employer and total with
=SUBTOTAL(9,C:C). - Overdraft days. If the account dips below zero, add conditional formatting to the Balance column to shade negative balances, which shows at a glance how often, and for how long, the account was overdrawn.
Support status: beta
StatementToCSV reads statements by their columns, not with a fixed template for each bank, so some Halifax statements may already convert. But we haven’t yet tested a real Halifax statement, so we don’t claim support. Verified means every extracted row adds up to the balances printed on the statement. If you don’t see Verified, the converter shows you where the balances stopped adding up.
StatementToCSV is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Halifax. The name is used only to describe the statements the converter reads.
